BLACK TENT PRODUCTIONS
(Getting the wheels rolling again)
Well tenacity and just plain stubbornness and a dab of pure determination just keeps you going. Let the world tell you can't and you spit back at it and say "I sure in hell can, just watch me.!"
The trials and tribulations of being an artist and reaching for that dream that makes no sense to the worldly perspective of common expectations could make up its own fair collection of another variation of Grimm's collection of a different sort of faerie tales.
Recently I have been meeting up with a small group of folks who like the idea behind BLACK TENT PRODUCTIONS (BTP). Currently we are working towards putting into the works, Improv theatre and readings of original plays in the hope to generate interest and awareness of BTP so that when we are able to put on full productions we will have a waiting audience to see what we can deliver.
BTP is all about experimental theatre that is governed by Artistic Integrity where we challenge the 'question of just being human'. BTP's goal is to make the audience consider honestly their own sense of humanity, and the world that we live in. BTP wants to entertain and bemuse the audience, but we want to be a provocative bunch of little Pucks that wish to plays the Shadows that may or may not offend intellectually. But we're not just here for entertainment just for entertainment's sake. Like any artist we are armed with an idea that is full of questions and possibilities and art reflects what society was, is and may or may not be. So then we should be accountable for those ideas and questions that we would engage in others.
Once we have the ball rolling we are hoping to have a website up and running to let folks know about productions and events and maybe even merchandise, I mean it would be nice to see folks walking down the street with our logos.
But that's all I have right now and hopefully soon we will have bigger and better news. So just keep an ear and eye out for us.
